CAO Angry Santa

CAO released two special blends for the holidays: the Angry Santa and Evil Snowman. They produced 1500 14ct boxes of each blend and have made them available only to Brick and Mortar stores across the country. They big at 6.5×52 and, while CAO suggests they’re based of the La Traviata line, they’re certainly nothing of the same. Here’s some notes I took on the Angry Santa

CAO Angry Santa

CAO Angry Santa – a couple big veins, but didn’t produce burn issues. Big giant band covers half the cigar, kinda oily. Firm body. Prelight draw has a lot of cocoa flavor. Easy draw. Fires up earthy, bit of pepper. Main flavors of earth and leather. Hint of kitchen spice and pepper comes and goes. Good amount of smoke output. Burn gets a slight bit wavy halfway through, but corrects itself without touchup. All the flavors tend to cycle through–Earth, leather, pepper, kitchen spice. Ceder/woody retrohale. Mild-medium flavor and body. Medium strength. Good cigar, but not my style. I’d like it more, perhaps, if the flavors could meld together better. Perhaps some aging time in a humidor could help.
